At Seed Acupuncture, every patient receives a personalized and highly-detailed treatment plan to help you reach your goals. We call this
The Seed Approach

Step 1

The core tenet of Traditional Chinese Medicine is that it treats the whole person. It goes way beyond “symptom spotting” to find the root cause of what is giving rise to disorder in the body. As such, all new patients at Seed Acupuncture begin with a thorough consultation. At this first appointment, we will:

  • Conduct a complete health history

  • Review all lab work, imaging, current healthcare treatments, and medication/supplement lists

  • Complete a TCM tongue and pulse assessment

  • Discuss your short- and long-term health goals and answer any questions you may have

  • Provide a full acupuncture treatment tailored to your specific needs

Step 2

Following your initial appointment you will receive a comprehensive and individualized treatment plan created specifically for you and your treatment goals. It will include recommendations, information, and guidance for the following:

  • suggested acupuncture treatment plan, including a detailed timeline with goals and progress checks built in

  • herbal formula prescriptions, if applicable

  • labwork or other diagnostic testing

  • nutritional support, including foods to incorporate into your diet, foods to avoid, and recipes and meal plans geared specifically to you and your unique pattern presentation

  • if applicable, recommended vitamin/supplement additions that will most benefit you without overloading you with a long and expensive list of new products to take

  • personalized lifestyle recommendations, therapeutic movement practices (like tailored qi gong and restorative exercise), stress modulation techniques, and integrative mind-body therapies rooted in both modern research and classical Chinese medicine

Step 3

As your treatments progress, we’ll continually assess your response and make thoughtful adjustments as needed. This includes checking your tongue and pulse at every visit, staying up to date on your other medical procedures, and having open conversations about how your body and mind are feeling.

As part of your integrative care team, we maintain communication with your other healthcare providers to ensure our efforts are aligned. This collaborative, personalized approach allows us to make the most of each session, helping you feel your best while steadily moving toward your long-term health goals.
